Publication: “How Can Database Animals Be Political Animals?” By Hiroki Azuma

Hiroki Azuma’s lecture at the symposium led by Yuk Hui entitled “Postmoderns and After?” (http://philosophyandtechnology.network/?page_id=2680) has now been published in issues 44 and 45 of Genron Beta, the monthly digital magazine released by Genron, an independent institute in Tokyo founded by Azuma himself. Issue 44 was released in December 2019 and 45 in January 2020. In his lecture, Azuma focused on Jean-François Lyotard’s idea of paralogy and argued for the importance of a plurality of language games, not that of narratives, as it has the potential to change database animals into political animals.
