簡介
許煜教授（Prof. Dr. phil. habil. Yuk HUI）在香港大學和倫敦的金匠學院學習計算機工程和哲學，並在法國哲學家貝爾納‧斯蒂格勒（1952-2020）的指導下完成哲學博士論文；其後在德國呂訥堡大學（Leuphana Universität Lüneburg）取得了哲學教授資格（Habilitation）。他先後任教於金匠學院、呂訥堡大學、包豪斯大學（Bauhaus Universität Weimar）、莫斯科Strelka Institute、中國美術學院（博士生導師），現職香港城市大學（教授）。 他也曾任巴黎蓬皮杜中心創新研究所的博士後研究員以及柏林德國電信實驗室的客座科學家。
許煜是博古睿哲學與文化獎的評委， 也是哲學和技術研究網絡的發起人。許氏的哲學與技術論文見於國際核心期刊如《Research in Phenomenology》、《Philosophy Today》、《Metaphilosophy》、《Theory,Culture and Society》、《Angelaki》、《Techné》、《Parrhesia》、《Cahiers Simondon》、《Deleuze Studies》、《Derrida Today》、《Jahrbuch Technik Philosophie》等。他也是上海社會科學院出版社《媒體與技術哲學》系列編輯，並且合編有《後物質三十年後：藝術，科學與理論》（Meson Press, 2015）、《宇宙技術-更新人類紀裡的技術概念》（Routledge, 2021）。許煜出版的專著包括《論數碼物的存在》（明尼蘇達大學出版社，Bernard Stiegler作序，2016；上海人民出版社, 2019），《論中國的技術問題-宇宙技術初論》（Urbanomic/MIT，2016/2019 ），《遞歸與偶然》（R&LI, 2019 ; 華東師範大學出版社，2020）以及《藝術與宇宙技術》（明尼蘇達大學出版社, 2021; 華東師範大學出版社，2022）。 他的專著受到各哲學與技術權威期刊如《The Philosophical Quarterly》，《Radical Philosophy》，《Jahrbuch Technikphilosophie》，《Theory, Culture and Society》，《Issue in Science and Technology》等的高度評價，並且已被翻譯成法、德、意、西、葡、俄、波、挪、日、韓、中等十多種語言。
